Makibishi was a weapon once used by Japanese ninjas.
It was scattered on the ground to stop enemies, and is known for its sharp and distinctive shape.

Behind this ninja weapon, there is an unexpected connection to nature.
Makibishi is said to have been inspired by the seeds of aquatic plants that grow in Japanese lakes.

Lake Inawashiro is located in the Aizu region of Japan, an area deeply connected to samurai and ninja culture.
Near the lake, there are towns that are sometimes introduced overseas as “Samurai City, Japan.”

At Lake Inawashiro, these plant seeds—believed to be the origin of Makibishi—are harvested and roasted,
and enjoyed as a caffeine-free healthy tea.

The tea has a roasted aroma, a gentle natural sweetness,
and a clean, smooth taste that is easy to drink.
Ninja Tea is made by roasting the seeds said to be the origin of Makibishi.
It is introduced overseas as Ninja Tea, inspired by Japanese ninja culture.
